In 2024, the world collapsed. Grotesque monsters lurk amid the ruins of Japan, while survivors scrape together what they can to survive. Kiruko, a Nakano handyman, accepts a mysterious woman's ultimate request to take a boy named Maru to Paradise. Maru is convinced that there is a boy there who is exactly like him.
