An upper-middle-class black man struggles to raise his children with a sense of cultural identity, despite constant contradictions and obstacles from his liberal wife, his father with traditional values and his own children, who see the world differently.
The story follows one of the world's greatest spies who has to infiltrate an enemy country in order to eliminate an important government figure. As a way of getting closer to his target, he needs to find a family, so he ends up adopting a girl and making an agreement to marry a local woman.
What he doesn't realize, however, is that the girl is actually an esper (an individual capable of telepathy and other paranormal abilities), and his new wife is a hitwoman. So the three of them start living together, having to hide their true identities from each other.
Luna lives with her family, goes to school and has a group of friends. His life takes an unexpected turn when his parents receive an offer they can't refuse and, overnight, the Valente family leaves their beloved home and moves to another country.
