Cruising (1980)
Al Pacino is the cop who infiltrates New York's gay community to try to uncover the identity of a killer who is terrorizing the group. The experience turns out to be much more brutal than he could have imagined. To find the maniac, he has to immerse himself in the atmosphere of the sadomasochism clubs and other gay strongholds in the city. The investigation ends up jeopardizing his relationship with his girlfriend, Nancy (Karen Allen), and brings him face to face with his personal dilemmas. Crime drama based on the book by Gerald Walker.
